The Senior Manufacturing Quality Manager reports to the Chief Operations Officer and is responsible to ensure that all new products developed meet or exceed our quality standards. Together, with a team of Quality engineers and Quality inspectors, you create and implement standards and control methods in such a way that we are able to meet or exceed our quality standard. Being part of a startup is exciting but it also requires being flexible, hands on and eager to continuously improve our products and processes.
Responsibilities
Partner with the Engineering Director and Production Manager to ensure products are meeting requirements while continuously optimizing the product and processes.
Oversee the specification and design of test fixtures/jigs and equipment for quality assurance.
Defines, specifies, and/or approves of the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, accuracy and reliability of company products.
Performs quality reviews and internal audits; evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards. Lead or support external audits.
Collaborate with Mechanical and Electrical product teams for design reviews and FMEAs.
Create and maintain a clean and safe workspace (5S).
Create and optimize standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Specify and source components and equipment.
Manage and develop the Manufacturing Quality team.
Help recruit and lead a team of quality engineers and quality inspectors.
Complete other tasks as necessary.

Experience You’ll Need
BS in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering and 8+ years experience in quality assurance management or equivalent field.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing best practices, including Lean Manufacturing principles.
Experience in a professional manufacturing environment like automotive, medical or aerospace.
Experience with quality systems, certification and controls.
Experience with structural problem solving and continuous improvement (Kaizen).
Working knowledge of Solidworks, productivity software, and strong communication skills.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Experience leading a team in a manufacturing quality assurance environment.
