We are a small, family-owned and operated Low Voltage company that specializes in Commercial Fire Alarms. We are blessed to be able to expand and are looking for that perfect fit to come on board with us!
Job Duties:
The candidate should be able to program systems, install new component parts, perform required maintenance testing, and complete repairs as needed, all while remaining compliant with relevant codes. Will work directly with the Service Director to complete service requests.
Installation, Repairs, Troubleshooting, and Maintenance: Troubleshoot existing systems, program new security codes, run wire & cable, position and terminate cables, wires and strappings; test backup batteries, keypad programming, sirens, and all security features in order to ensure proper functioning, and to diagnose malfunctions, and other duties as assigned.
Customer Relationship Management: Maintain a positive customer relationship and company image. Train customers in the proper use of their system. Interact professionally with customers.
Promote a Safe Working Environment: Operate hand and power tools in a safe manner, follow all safety standards and protocols to keep areas safe for all, maintain company vehicle clean and organized at all times.
Communication: Submit required paperwork to Office and/or customer as required, update service call notes for completeness and close within the software in a timely manner. Check-in with the office throughout the day for changes/updates. Interact professionally with other employees and suppliers.
Overtime (occasional) will be required to assist in priority service calls and to respond to customer service calls when heavy service schedules exist. Assist with all other tasks as needed or assigned.
Our Ideal Candidate will have the following Skills & Experience:
1-2 years of demonstrated experience installing, repairing, programming, and maintaining Fire Alarms.
Ability to read and understand various construction documents, including but not limited to Blueprints, Work Orders, Building Plans, and Installation Manuals.
Independent Work: Able to work independently in the field, while maintaining communication with the Office and the Service Manager for all the various projects and assignments.
High School Diploma / GED
Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
Record of consistent, punctual attendance
Able to pass a background check
Physical Requirement: Sitting or standing for extended periods of time as well as walking and transporting supplies in and out of a vehicle and various locations. Must be able to squat, kneel, bend, crawl, and climb. Must be able to carry, secure, and store necessary materials, tools, and utility ladders. Work is performed at client locations often in hot or cold attics. Ability to operate hand and power tools. Able to lift 50 lbs. Able to climb a ladder. Able to work with hands overhead. Good eyesight and color perception to work with intricate components used in electronic equipment.
Work is performed in all kinds of weather at various locations within the State of Arizona. Travel throughout the State may be required.

This position is M-F with varied hours between 6a – 5p, though that can change depending on the season (start early in summer to beat the heat, for example). Overtime work is offered on occasion for those interested in weekend work.
Preferred Skills & Licensing:
Fire Alarm CSA 2 and/or NICET 1 or greater
Experience with Security Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, and Low Voltage wiring with a wide variety of manufacturers is a plus!
