Our QA Specialist position involves interaction with all aspects and departments within the company. After an initial orientation period the successful applicant will become responsible for much of the reporting and record keeping that supports the quality system. Although we have an established quality system there are constantly changing regulatory and industry standards as well as changing customer requirements and challenges. The ideal candidate will quickly become the quality contact for customers and suppliers and eventually move into the quality management position. Here’s a short list of activities:
- Development, support and maintenance of the TCCA AMO and AS9100 QMS systems
- Internal auditing
- Incorporate efficient & imaginative implementations of lean manufacturing tools & techniques
- AS9102 FAIR (first article inspection report) preparation
- Maintenance of other customer related reports
- Supplier surveillance
- Liaise with all personnel
- Implement instructions
- Maintain Quality records
- Participate in materiel or process reviews
- Recommend, implement, and monitor internal & external preventative and corrective actions
- Compile and analyze statistical data
- Monitor compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements
- To ensure security, integrity and confidentiality of data
- Maintain compliance for security risk eligibility and acceptance
• CQA certification or auditing experience – or –
• CQE certification or QE experience in a related industry – or –
• CQM certification or related experience – or –
• Other professional certification such as Six Sigma, Black Belt, Lean Manufacturing
• Knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools
• Some familiarity with mechanical inspection, tools and technical drawings
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
• Sharp attention to detail
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Team player with the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Fluency in spoken and written English
• Must complete registration in the Canadian Controlled Goods program
