Responsibilities | Skills | Competencies - Direct and manage assigned staff with installation, maintenance, and repair of the electrical distribution system, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), fiber network, and other related electronic equipment and devices.
- Responsible for leading and directing the Electrical System Manager, Lineman, Apparatus Technician, Staking Engineer, and Electrical Distribution Engineer to include orientation, timekeeping, safety, performance management, training, and work schedules.
- Oversees monthly, quarterly, and annual preventative maintenance tasks for electric meter testing, fiber network, reclosers, switching schemes, instrumentation, generators, and other electronic equipment and devices on the electrical distribution system.
- Responsible for ensuring RP3 compliance with the American Public Power Association.
- Responsible for managing projects, operating within budget, and building relationships with key
- Experience with SCADA system implementation, integration, operation, support, and maintenance activities.
- Require working knowledge of the application of engineering principles and practices involved in the design and layout of electrical distribution systems, including both overhead and underground.
- Require working knowledge of the National Electric Code and National Electrical Safety Code.
- Responsible for electrical distribution engineering design and layout for the expansion of the electric distribution system, power requirements, and related specifications and codes.
