Develop relationships with manufacturing that foster a positive partnership, facilitate resolution of supplier, customer and internal issues and drive systems, processes and product for improvement. Have good system knowledge and technical writing to ensure processes are properly documented. Offer support and knowledge of quality philosophies and disciplines to internal and external customers in the coordination of quality improvement efforts. Support our certifications including but not limited to, ISO 9001:2000, SQF, and ISO 14001.
THIS IS HOW YOUR JOURNEY BEGINS:
Support departmental annual objectives, including reporting on department measurables.
Lead cross-functional corrective action and/or continuous improvement teams and execute changes and improvements to the quality management system based on data driven data.
Lead quality AQP initiatives with new or changed products for Plant Quality
Resolve quality issues with suppliers. Determine the nature of the nonconformance, identify responsibility and negotiate a mutually acceptable return or rework of product while preserving the Aptar/Supplier relationship.
Identify, develop and implement systems and processes that will assure product conformance to specifications, including developing product specifications, procedures and test methods as required.
Participate in internal and external quality audits as needed.
Participate in Customer certifications and on-site audits.
Travel as necessary (up to 10%) to support our Customers, Suppliers or other Aptar sites, sometimes on short notice
Provide technical support to Manufacturing, Suppliers and Customers.
Support and adhere to all system procedures and Company policies / procedures.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Follow all safety regulations.
Perform other related duties assigned.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING ON THE JOURNEY:
Bachelor’s Degree or CQE certification.
Preferred minimum 4-year experience as a Quality Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer or equivalent experience.
Experience building and maintaining relationships.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Knowledge of statistics, root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
Professional and optimistic attitude, ability to work in a team environment.
NOTE: Being authorized to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment.
