POSITION PURPOSE: Responsible for all aspects of the Global Event Management process. Provides timely and effective responses to customer complaints, technical and product performance issues for all Ascensia products. Propose, plan, perform, evaluate and document experiments to provide valid technical information on current or potential products, components, processes, and system audits. Conduct troubleshooting and product evaluations. Prepare specifications, procedures and protocols. Responsible for managing tasks at predefined levels within projects or operations.
MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION:
Provide ongoing technical support including investigation of customer complaints and acquiring returned goods testing of escalated complaints.
Evaluate incoming monthly complaint summary reports for trends and provide summaries of those reports for management.
Monitor product performance in the field through available systems, respond to resolve product problems, provide timely feedback of resolution to customers, and ensure that appropriate corrective actions are implemented to address the root cause of such problems.
Design and perform experiments on designated projects. Analyze, interpret and report results in concise clear manner making logical recommendations for further action.
Participate on new or existing product project teams.
May be assigned to perform existing or new product control system and manufacturing process design reviews by supervisor.
Perform necessary testing to assure the validity of the testing procedures and initiate special troubleshooting. This person will work closely with R&D to gain the appropriate scientific background and data to produce meaningful knowledge of new and existing products.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the sciences emphasizing chemistry, life sciences or engineering with a minimum of 4-6 years relevant experience.
A Ph.D. with 0-1 year experience.
ASQ certification or equivalent desirable.
Must be able to design, implement and interpret experiments, statistical designs of developing and applying new concepts and approaches to complex problems.
He/she must have a command of basic laboratory techniques.
Good computer skills and statistical analysis ability. Effective communication and human relations skills.
He/she is creative in problem resolution.
Effectively communicate (verbal and written) ideas and data to people with varying degrees of technical understanding.
Effectively analyze results of evaluations and testing, summarize and report findings clearly, and provide appropriate recommendations to internal customers.
